WELCOME!

We are glad that you could stop by to visit the UND College of Business and Public Administration website. We hope that you have a great visit and find answers to any of the questions that you might have. If you don’t, please let us know.

The College of Business and Public Administration (CoBPA) is the FIRST accredited business college in North Dakota. Our accrediting agency, AACSB International (The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business) establishes standards to promote the highest levels of educational quality. The CoBPA is one of only 528 business educational institutions accredited in the world.  We also hold accreditation with The Association of Technology, Management, and Applied Engineering (ATMAE) in our Technology Department and the Political Science and Public Administration Department holds accreditation through NASPAA (National Association of Schools of Public Affairs and Administration).

As of September 2009, we had 1,728 students enrolled in our 17 undergraduate programs and 185 enrolled in our five graduate programs. Some of our graduate students are enrolled off-campus and participate in classes over the internet.  We offer three complete graduate degrees at a distance, the Master of Business Administration, Master of Public Administration, and the Master of Science in Applied Economics.

The CoBPA has nine departments to serve our students and alumni. We are interdisciplinary in our teaching, research, service, and international efforts.  Our most recent undergraduate degree majors are in Human Resource Management and Operations and Supply Chain Management through our Management Department.  Our newest minor is in Sport Business and our most recent graduate degree program is a Master’s of Science in Accountancy.

Thanks to our focus on technology and with recent donations from our outstanding alumni, we have brought the CoBPA into the 21st Century. We have updated our student computer labs, installed classroom presentation equipment, updated faculty and staff computers, purchased the latest versions of software, and added more file servers. In addition, we have built an investment center specialty room (A. Kirk Lanterman Investment Center).  Students are also involved in investment decisions for the Student Managed Investment Fund (SMIF), created with funds from various donors .  We have completely remodeled the Accountancy (Eide Bailly, Kulas/Koppenhaver, Deloitte, Brady Martz, and John Berg) and Marketing (Page Family) areas with the help of a wide variety of donors.  We have also remodeled the Office of Academic Advisement (Helland Family) and two Management classrooms (Cargill and Gate City Bank) as well as an office suite (Ottertail Corporation).
We are continuing to add many new features to our website. We have completed our first capital campaign and have exceeded the goal that was set.  We are now on the fast track to become a bigger and better college. We will continue to produce top-notch graduates ready for a career in a wide variety of business, not-for-profit, and government areas. We hope you stop by our website often to see the latest additions.

We at the College of Business and Public Administration are extremely proud of our students, alumni and our nationally accredited programs. We hope that you will stop by our office and visit the next time you are in the area. We'll be happy to show you the changes we’ve  made and the plans for the future.
